Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

  • Account information — name, email, and authentication data, handled by our sign-in provider, Clerk.
  • Subscription and billing data — your subscription tier, Stripe customer/subscription IDs, and billing period. Card numbers and payment details are handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.
  • Usage data— zip codes you search, categories you view, and messages you send to the "Ask the Analyst" chat feature.
  • Cookies — a session cookie for sign-in, and (during the private preview period) an access-gate cookie.

2. How we use it

We use this data to provide the Service (resolve your searches, run the scoring engine, power the Analyst chat, manage your subscription), to maintain account security, and to improve Bizdar over time.

3. Who we share it with

To deliver the Service, the data above is shared with the following third-party processors:

  • Clerk — authentication and account management.
  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
  • Neon — our database provider, which stores your subscription record.
  • Anthropic— messages you send to "Ask the Analyst" are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response.
  • Google Places, the U.S. Census Bureau, and Brave Search — the zip codes and business categories you search are sent to these services to retrieve competitor and demographic data.

We don't sell your personal data to advertisers or data brokers.

4. Data retention

We retain your account and subscription data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for legal, billing, or fraud-prevention purposes. You can request deletion of your account data at any time (see Section 6).

5. Children's privacy

Bizdar is not directed at, and we don't knowingly collect data from, anyone under 18.

6. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting gapmapbusiness@gmail.com. Deleting your account cancels any active subscription through the billing portal first if you want to avoid a final charge.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
